Appears to be Forton Made. But I don't have the time right now to search. More info on that later. (No I didn't read the whole article, my apologies if its in there)

how do you compare a 1000W to a 750W? you would think you would need another 1000W to be accurate, or is it just comparing the top of the line OCZ with the top of the line PCP&C

Yeah I believe so, that and I think he was going for our top reviewed PSU vs the newcomer type angle
