for the next update, i would suggest maybe attaching a printer friendly text only version of the guide? it would save lots of ink

The forums can do that for you, on the first page (well any post you want to print), go to the top far right of the greenness (just under the orange nav buttons) and click the printer icon.

heh, it breaks in firefox for me too, it displays correctly when the print icon has been clicked, but the print preview shows the first post as running off of the first page, then the second page is the next post.

It works ok in IE (and IE tab in firefox) though.

I wonder if it is the browser or phpbb3's fault.

Very Impressive Guide! Almost makes me want to go back to my P5B-Plus... nah! That doesn't make sense! I'm not trying to play Crysis, and all the other current crop of games work fine. :)

Awesome. First-time overclocking and I got my E2160 to 2.40GHz following this guide with only one minor hiccup. :supz:

I could probably go higher but 60C at load is the max I'm comfortable with (using stock HSF).

Guide is now version 1.6

• Added a detailed section to help you find the minimum stable CPU and MB vcore settings. Check it out (near the bottom of the guide entitled, “Stress Testing and Minimizing Your Vcores”)!
• Updated the CPU table
• Provided a less than $5 method you can use to shave off some NB load temps (in the thermal management section at the end of the guide).

Version 1.6.1 is up. Totally re-wrote the section on memory which now includes a discussion on both DDR2/DDR3 and formulas you can use to calculate max supported FSB of a given module based on it's DDRX-Y and PCX-Y designations. Also re-ordered the first part of the guide.

I don't have a Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad, but I do have a Pentium Dual Core E2220, which was listed in this post as a C2D. Does the same process apply to Pentium D's?

Core 2-based Pentium Dual-Cores (E2000, E5000 & E6000 series), yes. Note, I was using a Pentium E2160 (1.80GHz stock). The same should apply to the new (Core 2-based) Celerons.
