Postby eva2000 » Tue Sep 25, 2007 1:45 pm

Thanks to ExtremePC.com.au for lending me a 2GB kit of Crucial Ballistix PC3-12800 DDR3-1600 memory modules to test out :)

Typical Crucial conservative memory rating scheme :)

Specs:
  • 2GB kit (1GBx2)
  • Ballistix 240-pin DIMM
  • DDR3 PC3-12800
  • DDR3-1600 8-8-8-20 at 1.8v
  • Unbuffered NON-ECC
  • 128Meg x 64
Some photos for now. Bit busy right now, so testing will begin later this week hopefully I shall have some X38 chipset motherboards to test them out on later this week or next week :)

Nice job eva =D>

Which X38 boards are you getting?

I gotta get back into this, I've had my rig down for months now and I've also got a new apogee block and 6GB of D9's sitting here, all untested 8-[

Eva,

Tried any 8-8-8-24 testing? Just got a 2GB 1600MHz kit from OCZ to 2036MHz: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=249116

haven't tried on P5K3 Deluxe yet as ran into a bit of a problem last night - my Belking surge protector board the P5K3 Deluxe was connected to, went pop and literally smoke came out of it and tripped several safety switches at the mains box and entire house blacked out LOL

Ordered a new surge protector while I ram the smoked one hehe

Just before the smoked Belkin Surgemaster power board happened, I did pull off my fastest <3600Mhz 32M time to date (faster by ~2 seconds)!

Crucial Ballistix PC3-12800 @900Mhz 7-6-5-18 1T at 2.0v vdimm bios set.
