We'll take a look at this travel sized notebook cooler and see if it measures up to its competitors. Antec has a solid reputation in the computer accessory business, how will they fare? Although modern processors are following a trend of faster and cooler operation, many notebook computers can still get very warm under normal operating conditions. Throw in a frag session and it may be more than your online opponent that goes up in flames, mainly due to the heat generated by today’s higher-end video cards. Excess heat can damage your components and lead to premature failure. Thankfully, companies like Antec have produced various models of cooling pads to help mitigate overheating and keep your notebook in its happy temperature zone all for around $25.00.

With only reducing temps by 2-3c, I can find better ways to spend $25.

My MacBook Pro gets really hot when I run Windows simultaneously with Parallels. It reports temps of almost 70! I'm gonna rip it apart soon and reapply thermal paste. I hear Apple did a sloppy job of it. Anyway, the cooler does help!

Zalman can rest assure that it is indeed no competition for its ZM-NC1000, then again it is double the price and I got double Joe's temp drop
