Wireless X-box

I was wondering if any of you know whether or not I can use a "standard" USB network adaptor to connect to the net with my x-box 360 or do I have to buy the X-box 360 accessory that is in essence the same thing??

yes, you have to buy the $80 microsoft one which is the same exact thing with a ring of light on it and a color scheme that matches the xbox

that figures!! man I hate microsoft!!

p.s. I did not buy my x-box 360 in case the comment makes anyone wonder why I would buy from the big M if I hate them.
