'nother update. did a copy cat of bio's mod to keep the memory cooler.
Image
btw, that fans slides to be directly over the memory. with all the air blowing over them, and the nice heatsinks on them, i was able to get the orginal timings and frequency of 800mhz 5-5-5-18-2T, and i got it to post with 916mhz 5-4-3-9 1T, but i couldnt boot windows. the highest oc i could boot windows with was 868mhz 5-4-4-10 1T, and even then it was only good enough for a benching run. heres some before and after shots of the everest test.

What chip are you going to put in your new motherboard? Your Q6600 is underpowered for that board.

[strike]the lowest fsb that motherboard can handle is 1333. Your Q6600 fsb is 1066. Is the motherboard backward compatable?[/strike]

Edit: I looked on the CPU support list and it appears I was mistaken, it can go all the way down to 800 with the Dual Core E2XXX chips.

Well while it's apart you should get some more tubing, and take the time to clean out your radiator with vinegar and blocks with vinegar and tomato ketchup.
(If you don't want to get some more tubing, find some way to scrape off the gunk inside your existing ones)

When I did mine in April I had lots of build up on my pipes and stuff, and since I've cleaned them out and the rad and blocks, it's stayed cleaner a lot longer. I've just had a good look at it and it has started to cloud up again, but not as bad as it had got before i cleaned it all out.

well i might do that. i have to buy some extra long sata calbes to, if they even sell those, my current ones arent long enough to reach the dvd drive at the top of my case, even when there not routed behind hte motherboard tray. im having some trouble with the wiring to,theres not much space to work with from the back of the tray to the side panel

Did I ever tell you that I met Chuck Norris and his wife. Well I did and they were very nice people. Chuck is showing is age but he could still kick my ass. :) Maybe you should rename your rig to someone that is not semi-retired :)
