Most likely Ben Heck (maker of the 360 and wii laptops, sixaxis 360 controller, etc.) sounds like something he'd do, i would assume that whoever did would have to put the mainboard, optical drive, etc. in another case, because the 360 doesn't have much room in the case as is, let alone having tubes running through it and pushing against the mainboard.
Maybe he just tightly wrapped the tubes around the case and hoped that, come time to turn the beast off, he would be able to get to the power button

It didn't work for me
I called 18004myxbox. If they ask you what you did about the problem tell them you tried unplugging it completely and it didn't work. This will save you several minutes on the phone. Basicaly they will send you a box with prepaid shipping. They will tell you it will take about 3 to 4 weeks once they receive it.
