Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Headset for Apple's iPhone

With a streamlined metal alloy casing, coiled metal cable, in-line mic and 11mm speakers, the Skullcandy iPhone Full Metal Jacket headset is fully loaded. The great news is that this headset also works with the Blackberry Curve, so more than just Apple iPhone lovers can use them! To top things off the iPhone FMJ comes equipped with a custom EVA carrying case and three sizes of ear gel sleeves. Read on to see how the iPhone FMJ does against the V-Moda Vibe Duo!

The iPhone FMJ comes with an 11-mm speaker driver with a fairly nice frequency range to reproduce highs and lows quite well. From the specifications, this headset should perform very closely to our favorite reference mobile headset – V-Moda’s Vibe Duo. The Vibe Duo’s have a very efficient 9-mm driver that produces some incredible sound. They have been our standard with which all other have been measured so let’s see exactly how well these Skullcandy’s perform.

At long last! Skullcandy got you some 'phones

Shame I've already been forced to buy some different in-ear phones a while back due to my other set breaking.

Did you RMA it? If so, how was the warranty/return program?

We've been cranking ours for the better part of a week non-stop and so far no problems. Hopefully, you just got a bad set.

How did the Skullcandy handle the "limited lifetime" warranty on your FMJs?

Hmm...don't be so quick to give up, my friend. Again, these headsets come with a "limited life warranty" that I think you should check out before giving up. The FMJs have only been around for so long anyway. It wont hurt to put in an claim on their product support page.
