HELP!!

hi,
i've got a problem with my pc.it wakes up till i started to use ethernet cable.bios settings about wake up are all disabled.i activated the default settings of bios but i still got the problem.it wakes up if i don't switch the cable.
some offers to install bios again.
what you think i should do?
i use:
asus p5gd2 premium motherboard

which bios version are you using? If you are not using the latest version, then yes, you need to update it.

it's ami bios.i've bought my pc 2 or 3 weeks ago.bios date is 26/09/2004
so you say there is no other way then upgrading the bios?

its always best to have the latest BIOS, but in this case you have to upgrade. There was an issue when the Winchesters first hit the market...seems alot of boards had issues with them

The P5GD2 Premium is a socket 775, Intel board. The latest version is 1006, as of the time of my review a couple weeks ago... I'd post a link, but it seems Asus' support and download links are currently down.

oh, geez....understand i wrote that at 3am and was answering other questions at the same time....still seems like a BIOS issue....either need an updated BIOS, or need to change a setting in the BIOS.
I had just got done addressing Nailz question regarding his BIOS
