Where's my GIMP brush?

Ok, i recently got GIMP 2.4.5 for Windows Vista, and i'm loving it so far, except for the learning curve.

Oh and one other thing, i decided to make a custom brush, just a little ring, and i saved it in the folder: C:/Program Files/Gimp-2.0/share/gimp/2.0/brushes
now i don't like that brush, and i wanted to delete it, i can't delete it in GIMP, and when i goto the Program Files folder i saved it in, it's not there..

any ideas as to where it might be?

You should be able to delete the brush by pulling up the brush selection dialog and dragging the brush into the trash. To get to the brush selection dialog, see below:

You can't delete the standard brushes (ones that come with GIMP) this way though.

There is also a frontend called GIMPShop that makes GIMP look and work like Photoshop but I don't think it's been updated for a long time so it may not work with newer releases.

While on graphics programs, check out Inkscape. I use it in conjunction with GIMP because it's great for basic shapes and overall layout while GIMP is great for drawing each individual component of an image.

tried it, the trash is "grayed out", i also tried running GIMP as admin thinkin it was because the files were in a system folder, and none of the brushes i made were there, so im thinking when you save a brush in the brushes folder, it's actually transferring it to another folder, but i don't know which.
