Postby ViPeR.Ja on Thu Aug 28, 2008 1:37 pm

so i have this case atm http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811165008 i was thinking bout setting up a liquid cooling since i have never done it, and i looking at those radiators and they look huge so am wondering which radiator would fit in this case?
Dell Sucks.... In my opinion anyways, even though i have a dell xps M1530 laptop :) and the graphic is defective isn't that great

The case has a 120mm rear fan, which is a good sized area... Is it going to be an internal or external radiator?

Internal I'd say dual 120 maybe top mount, external any size. I usually run full towers and fitting a dual rad in there would be a chore.

Triples mount nicely in the back with hoses running through the bottom expansions.

so a single 120mm would be good for inside while if want anything bigger i would have to go exterior?

To me, it's full tower case but it doesn't look like one... Space inside seems so tight (comparing to RocketFish case I have).

Regarding watercool, it depends on what you are going to cool. Like: cpu only, cpu + nb, cpu + gpu, cpu+nb+gpu, ... and other combinations.
Also, it depends on what CPU you use, how far you overclock it .....

With those consideration, you decide which radiator will fit your need. Then, you can decide whether it fits inside of the case or you have to mount it externally.

If you really want to place the radiator (rad) internally, then use dual 120mm ( like Methious said) - and suggest you get the ThermalChill PA120.2 ( like this one at Danger Den DD- http://dangerden.com/store/product.php? ... t=5&page=1). It would be sufficient enough to cool both CPU and GPU.

Or you can get Black-Ice Xtreme III (triple 120mm) from Danger Den also ( http://dangerden.com/store/product.php? ... =85&page=1) and put it outside the case - either on top of the case (requires some modification) or in the back ...

Either one would give you head room for later upgrade .. :D
