Geforce 9550?? What on earth?? What series? Help!

I am soon to acquire a fairly good computer from my brother, who built it a few years ago for gaming.
It currently has in it a Geforce 9550 as far as i can tell, and for the life of me i cannot find a definitive website with specs or details on it.
ANY help at all would be greatly appreciated as so far i can only find websites saying it was released as a cost efficient counter to an ATI card.
Any replies would be great and i'm more than willing to check out the motherboard/slot type etc if that helps.

i would download GPU-z and it will tell you exactly what card is in there.

I have never heard of a 9550 card. perhaps it is a 7950. for an older computer that sounds more likely.

If the system was built a few years ago I highly doubt that it is actually a GeForce 9550 (GT), as that has only come out within the last two months.

It is probably a Radeon 9550, and you can find specs on that here.

You'll be playing at lowest settings if you want to play anything fairly recent.

Thanks for that guys it was a Radeon 9550, he was pretty deadset on it being a Geforce but i checked and its not lol, thanks anyway
