it appears that my temp sensor in my 9600GSO is faulty, how bad is this in actuality? and is this a known problem on....any card? is there a fix?
also, should i RMA(i really, really don't want to though)

have you got anything else you can measure the temperature with?? just stress test it with a third party temperature monitor

GPUz doesnt even show "GPU1 temp" and riva tuner shows 0c also

Do you have an electric thermometer? If so you could just have a look at how hot it is with that. Other than that, does it show up with any artifacts while playing?

i don't think i have access to one, and it usually doesn't artifact, but DiRT has been giving me trouble(it won't get past the loading screen to start a race) if it doesn't load after i take it down to stock speeds, then i'm gonna uninstall, because it plays Need For Speed Carbon on the highest possible settings, at 75+ FPS(vsync on) without a care in the world

Maybe there is a BIOS update for your card?
It depends how much you want to know how hot your card is running, as to if you want to get it RMA'd.

if your really that worried about it though and you dont want to RMA it, just get a new hsf?
