Dual Video cards in Windows 7

Postby skier » Sun Jan 11, 2009 4:50 pm

i can't get it to work properly, when its setup identical to the Vista settings(the way thats linked in the other dual GPU thread) when i try to run them it gives me a prompt(help window) showing all the commmands (-gpu x, -help, -configonly, etc.)

i think it's probably how my monitor is set up(i'm still supposed to "extend to another monitor" correct?)

I heard there are problems with dual monitors. Try using just one monitor.

well, i AM just using one monitor, just extending to an imaginary one, it also reads as 4 GPUs in rivatuner(it reads each DVI port as a GPU)

Sheesh, it's a beta for a reason; it's not finished yet! So not everything is going to work >_>

I thought I read somewhere about that with Vista. I thought there was something you had to plug into the card to trick it because just extending the desktop was not enough. Might see how the Vista folks are doing it.

well, i Reinstalled XP(and formatted) and SMP & GPU0 + GPU1 going full bore!

(i know why SMP wasn't working, i didnt run the install.bat #-o and the GPU problem may be able to be fixed, but it doesn't make COD4 work :finga: )
