RivaTuner wont keep fan speed after standby mode

i have had three different cards in my case and some times there is low level control, sometimes not. the fan staying at the direct control preset [100% 80% ect.]works for a while out of standby then doesn't?? i have removed it then re-install it but no change with the same GPU in. seems like the registry still has info, after re-install it has all the special settings i had saved before. any suggestions please, thanks, D PS using 181.22 Driver

what version of rivatuner r u using? version 2.23 has a bug with presets and scheduler i think. try using version 2.22 and see if the problem will go away

yeah thats what i heard also. i tried the 2.23 first but am using the 2.22 version now and have gotten messages about it not recognizing the GPU driver version im usisng 181.22. maybe its the driver but its the latest version for my card. it was prompting me to get a newer version that would be recognized??? i still think its the registry. please let me know if you have any other suggestions. thanks for your help, dana

the warning u r getting with version 2.22 is normal since it was released prior to drivers 181.22 so it won't recognize it , however, fan control should work nevertheless.
Anyway, Rivatuner version 2.24 is out now with bug fixes, try it maybe it will work.

thanks for the info and the reply. im new here and cant seem to get much help. i'll try the new version. is there a way to clean the rivatuner registry without possibly doing harm to the system. you here of people getting rid of the wrong files and messing up the works. thanks very much for your time pal . dana

UPDATE: TRIED 2.24 VERSION , NO HELP. SO I HAD TO RE-INSTALL AFTER ATTACK FROM ANTI VIRUS 360 MALWARE [NASTY STUFF, CHECK POST] AND IT FIXED THE PROBLEM! AT FIRST IT WAS A RIVATUNER PROBLEM, THEM IM SURE IT WAS A CONTAMINATED REGISTRY ISSUE. RE-INSTALL AND ALL IS WELL.... ....D
