DX58SO motherboard disables all usb ports

Postby SuziQ » Sat Jul 04, 2009 9:09 pm

Hi, brand new system, installing windows xp 64 - keyboard and mouse work fine until I install the motherboard disc software. After the install reboot, neither mouse nor keyboard works. In fact, none of the usb ports work. I tried installing the mouse and keyboard before installing the mobo software, but it made no difference. usbs are enabled in bios. I'm at a loss and frustrated. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Have you tried newest drivers from the Intel site? Most the time the CDs that come with the boards are replaced with newer ones by the time it gets to an end user.
