DDR3 NEWB Question.. upgrade to DDR3?

I am excited as all get out to have gotten this AMD X4 965 Proc from Legitreviews! Thanks again Nate! I am wondering.. Is DDR-3 worth the upgrade? I currently Have PC2-8500 of the crucial Ballistix tracer memory. Would the price/performance for me to upgrade to PC3-10600 be worth it? Can I just get an AM2+ mobo that supports this Proc and DDR2 memory and not have to worry about a bottle neck?

Sadly since I purchased my Quad Core QX6700, I have lost track with a lot of the latest hardware. Mainly since everything I have thrown at my current setup hasnt had any trouble running any game I play. Also to be honest, RAM isnt my strongest Hardware area either.. LOL

I read them ..I jsut don't know how much of a difference there will be honestly..personally I'd check around online to see if there are any reviews with ddr2 or ddr3 with that processor and go from there..assuming the reviews are easy to find.

I think it's worth the upgrade, I'm still a little new to DDR3 but to me it's faster than DDR2. You would have to get an AM3 board to use DDR3 though if you did know.
If you do go for the upgrade get PC3-10666 with timing 7, I've don my own research and this is the most common setup. There is one thing I was told that DDR3 1600 and 1333 is you wouldn't notice the difference unless it's on paper.
