Firefox wont install

i uninstalled firefox because it was persistently crashing(to the point where i couldn't even make a post here) planning to go back to version 3.0 from 3.5, but both installers get error: file is corrupt, whenever it gets to the extracting files part of installation, any ideas what to do here? i'd rather not be on the godforsaken program that is IE8

did you keep any files fromt he previous installation?(not sure if FF gives that option or not, it's been that long since I've need to uninstall it)

yes i left the 'do you want to remove private files alone(so it kept the assumedly)

Delete the setup file you have already downloaded, clear out your OS temporary folder and try downloading it again.

Then to ensure security software is not interfering with the setup, disconnect from the internet, turn off your anti-virus program and try to install it.

Or try Opera, Maxthon2, Iron, Chrome, Safari, etc. lol

i cleared the cache and whatnot, and it installed, but its still crashing, most likely because of my OC, so i just need to tweak MHz and voltages
