TF2 Unlocks

Ok, maybe I'm an idiot but I can't seem to find any upgrades while playing TF2 and it's starting to tick me off. What am I not doing?

to get items randomly(and yes it's "Random"*) you need to play alot, i'm not talking an hour every few days, i mean 4hrs at a time at least, every day

*-Random being based on whether valve likes your account, and how many hours played per class, per map, on your account, more hours mean less items, so your least played classes get multiple weapons before your primary gets any at all, and you get more items on maps you don't play much

i've played probably 300 hours since the update and then ~300 hours on top of that from the idle app, i have one hat total, on an account i purchased during the 9.99 weekend, which i now play on primarily

idea makers at valve all need to get fired

I think you can still unlock weapons using the old way of getting acheivements.

I feel for you Skier, I only have one hat too, and it is the lousy Tough Guy's Touque.

the bad part is that they made new accounts have a much higher percentage odds to get unlocks,

after playing 60 hours or so after the update drop, i still hadn't got a single weapon i didn't already have(had ~ 10 axtinguishers, 10 bonk energy drink,12 flare guns, 10 FAN etc, but not a single medic weapon aside from the achievements i did last year, never got any of the sniper weapons until achievement farming came back into play(i got kill everyone you meet(1000 kills with rifle) the day after the update drop, not from farming, just played on sniper servers all day as i usually did back then anyway(i have a little over 300 hours on sniper)) and didnt have any of the spy weapons till farming)

yet, on a separate account i purchased that weekend, i got the fro the same day as buying it along with several other weapons i actually wanted, high level(when they had levels) just from a couple hours of play, and other new accounts or mostly inactive ones get multiples of hats(one person got 10 hats at once in my clans server, no mods, no idling, legit)

valve is just pushing new users too hard and kicking the veterans to the curb, every update it gets worse and worse for dedicated players, and boy am i dedicated(three clans, two competitive teams, i scrim up to 7 times a day)

I have quite a few achievements left to get. I just got my final pyro achievement though.

sorry i couldn't play with ya earlier skipp, i generally scrim from ~8-12 EST on weekdays and ~8-2 on weekends give or take, last scrim i got 4 point blank snipes, a scout a demo twice and a solly
