Its amazing how much has changed from the 2900 XT to the 5 series, ATI is killing the competition. I read somewhere that Nvidia might be giving up on consumer video cards.

Its amazing how much has changed from the 2900 XT to the 5 series, ATI is killing the competition. I read somewhere that Nvidia might be giving up on consumer video cards.

They aren't giving up on them, but they are focusing on GPU Compute as the future... They are starting at the top (Tesla) and will be working the technology down into mainstream consumer parts.
