My HTPC currently has a 9400GT. My frontend records files as MPEGs and with the 9400GT I am able to use nVidia's PureVideo Decoder. I recently came into ownership of a ATi HD 3850. I know that the ATi has built in audio and can stream that to my TV via a DVI to HDMI cable that I already own. However, would I be better off just using the nVidia card with a functioning decoder or put in the more powerful card and use it's onboard audio?
