WTB 2x2Gb DDR2800

I've been looking for a 4Gb kit on the cheap for a few about a month now and no dice. Now that the price has skyrocketed (for some crazy reason), no one wants to part with it.

I can do without it as I'm running two rigs in single channel mode with a 2Gb stick each...kinda sucks, but doable all the same.

The worst part is back in August, I was able to buy a 4Gb kit of Gskill for $45...now its like $65. :?

you mean this kit? which is now $5 more than it was two days ago, and the same 2 days before that? its a baad time to need DDR2, stupid DDR3 standardizing :roll:

Holy Christmas! Yes, that is exactly the kit and now its $80!?!?! This is really pissing me off! :evil:

Thats damn near an 80% price increase in less than 2 months! PURE EVIL! :finga:

yeah, that kit was $74 a couple days ago when i bookmarked it, and it was $69 a few days before that, its gone up $10 in a ~week

I just called newegg to complain about the DDR2800 4Gb kit prices and they issued me a $33 credit on my account towards my next kit. All I had to do was reference my last order and they took the current price minus what I paid last time and they applied the discount to my account! Try that Skier!

Gotta love newegg!

ah, the last time i bought ram it was a 2GB kit of 533MHz tho, got it for $32

just called, got a $20 discount certificate by referencing the previous $64.99 price :\ i'll take it i guess, though i shoulda referenced when it was $35 like all the other 4GB kits in existence back a month ago :lol:

In the end, I picked up this 4Gb kit for $46.99, so I'm happy. :) It was $79.99 when I called 2 days ago and now its $84.99. Holy Christmas!!! #-o

nothing yet, im on 2GB but its not horrible, only lags in a couple apps because of it
