I7 labeled memory

Hi am about to build a budget system for a family member am just wondering does matter if it says core I7/ core i5 memory for it to work on a AM3 system?

i recently got a GSKILL RIPJAW kit that says:
Dual Channel Intel Core i5 & Core i7 CPU for P55 motherboard


works fine in my 790X and 770 boards

It just means the ram is rated for 1.65v or below as anything above this when using an Intel CPU can damage the memory controller.
It will work fine with an AMD setup
