I'm in...loading the canons as we speak...err...type

Side note. Since I won CPU in the last folding war...I have a video card laying around. It is a green edition 250 GTS...good for about 5000 PPD if I remember corectly. It is also a low power card. Someone covers the shipping...I'll put it up for a prize. Maybe some other people have stuff laying around...who knows.

Just to be fair.....I could be the PPD leader if I really wanted to. So I'll stay around the 50,000+ PPD...the + is "something has to left in reserve"

Ok...that all just went out the window. Will be folding on, 2 GTX 275s, 4 GTX 560s and a 2600k system...it could be overclocked a little..just a little. That should add up to somewhere around 100,000 PPDish....might be heavy on the ish....we'll see.

So are we still on for a folding war? Darkstar, I will drive down to set up SMP Clients for you before the war starts if you want. I still think that Darkstar, Knightrid, and myself can pull this off. wi-fuzzy is doing great, and I hope he can continue. Sadly I feel he will have sticker shock when he gets the electric bill. So I feel we will still win if this is going to happen.

I desperately need a good cooler for my GTX470 (arctic cooling accelero extrem plus or thermalright shaman). it goes up to 85C @ load (in furmark) but the worst is the noise. I just can't do this 24/7 with a jet engine couple meters from my ear at night

I guess I could jump in with my 2500K @ 4.7Ghz till then. If there is still some time to start the war, then I will get the GTX 470 in order + maybe a 9800GTX+ too...

thanks, will study it. So are bigadv's giving more points than SMP?
why didn't I see anything about them on stanford's page? (client downloads)

oh and the guide says systems with 8 cores or more. can I run them on the 2500K OC'd to 4.7Ghz?

update: just started the smp client for now and will try the gpu3 client too. any news on the war yet? when do we start?

can anyone tell me why is it showing 4205p in fahmon and also 585p on the right side? when looking on stanfords site it is only 585p. and it took about 6 hours to do it. that seems pretty pathetic for the CPU I have. what am I doing wrong? my first thought was that it's the regular client but in fahmon it says SMP2 and all 4 cores are working at 100%, so what's wrong with this picture?

any ideas?
