Who Bought a Kindle Fire

Postby pwcmed » Thu Nov 17, 2011 10:44 am

For $200 bucks I had to get one. I'm already a prime member and buy my music from them. I got mine last night and was not too bad. It's not a great tablet but it's a great media consumption device and I think that was amazons goal. I love the fact that Amazon is not going to waste time on locking the device down. From what I read it was rooted the first day. I heard they are coming out with another tablet and I'm ok with that because I didn't spend $500 on it.

On the first day some access was gained, from what I understand it was just recently gotten full root access.

Here is one.

Edit:

I guess Amazon might have something running to detect the rooting status and will disable the video streaming.
