Twenty years ago this month, we founded NVIDIA. Our vision that computer graphics would revolutionize computing has propelled us into becoming one of the leading technology companies in the world.
We’ve invented the GPU, revolutionized gaming, helped Hollywood make jaw-dropping movies, and powered the world’s fastest supercomputer. Our processors power life-saving CT scanners, weather simulations for TV stations, and the latest generation of cars. They’ve even helped navigate a rover on Mars.

But, really, we’re just getting started. We’re quickly moving into the cloud. Into cars. Into gaming devices like Project SHIELD. Into the heart of mobile with integrated LTE modems.
We intend to extend our lead in visual computing and touch every pixel of the billions of displays that now surround us.
Our three-person startup has grown to 8,000 staff across 40-plus sites.
We have extraordinary employees in major cities around the world – Taipei, Helsinki, Shanghai, Paris, Beijing, Boston, Hong Kong, Bangalore, Tokyo, Moscow, Cambridge, and Sophia, among others.
And our headquarters in Santa Clara, just a few blocks from where we started, barely has a spare desk. We’re absolutely bursting at the seams.
So, we’ve decided to build a new campus right across the street, one as distinctive as our company.
The new NVIDIA building will capture the ambition and imagination of our people. It will stand at the intersection of science and art, just as our work in visual computing does.
It will be the symbol, the physical manifestation, of our vision for the company.
To bring this project to life, we reviewed the work of some of the world’s most talented firms. We chose a gifted team at Gensler, led by Hao Ko, a young Harvard-trained architect who shares our values and drive to perfection.

Together, we’ve created something wonderful.
The design harmonizes smart functionality and a shape that connects with and inspires our employees – a triangle, the fundamental building block of computer graphics.
Efficient in every way, the design is thoughtful in its use of space, energy, and environment, and, of course, cost.
Its vast open floors will facilitate our cross-functional work. The nature of building our products requires experts from multiple disciplines to come together, and this building is designed above all for collaboration.
I am thrilled to present NVIDIA’s new headquarters. You’ll see how it fuses together smart design, craftsmanship, and soul. It’s hard to find a better definition of NVIDIA.
