If you're looking for great portability, tablets are certainly the way to go. Tablets are typically smaller and light than ultrabooks, though they don't have the power of an ultrabook. There are certainly some tradeoffs, but depending on your needs a tablet like the ASUS VivoTab Smart may be exactly what you need. Tablets are light and can easily fit into places such as a briefcase, purse, or even into the pockets of some jackets and pantsmaking them great for on the go. I thought Atoms were dying out with netbooks and ultra portable systems (Zotac, Giada, etc...). At the price and performance levels I'd rather get an ARM based tablet and call it a day.

Intel Atom is going to be around a bit. Check out Intel Silvermont as it is the first major Atom refresh and it just got announced today. ARM might be in the lead now, but Intel has some good stuff coming out later this year that is basically Haswell derived.

ARM or ATOM, doesn't matter if they perform well, which is all I care about :) Performance...Oh, and cost LOL

I personally love the way this one looks, although pretty close to all the other tablets out there. Really though, what can they do, release it as an oval or triangle to make it look different? hehehhe

I wish it has 4GB of memory, but that's just me always wanting more :) If it had 4GB, I'd say it needs an 8GB option :P
