NVIDIA Announces nForce Professional 3000 Series MCP

NVIDIA TO SHOWCASE NEXT-GENERATION NVIDIA NFORCE® PROFESSIONAL 3000-SERIES CORE-LOGIC SOLUTIONS AT COMPUTEX

New NVIDIA nForce Professional 3000 Series MCPs Will Bring New Levels of Performance and Manageability to Enterprise Computing Markets

SANTA CLARA, CA—JUNE 7, 2006—NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the worldwide leader in programmable graphics processor technologies, today announced that the Company will be conducting technology demonstrations this week of its new NVIDIA nForce Professional 3000-series media and communications processor (MCP) at this year’s Computex tradeshow, being held in Taipei, Taiwan. Visitors to the NVIDIA booth, located in Exhibition Hall 1, #b810, as well as at many of the Company’s partner booths located elsewhere on the show floor, will be able to learn about the advantages that NVIDIA is bringing to enterprise computing markets, including a highly scalable and highly integrated architecture that is designed to deliver professional customers an advanced platform solution for workstation and server operating environments.

In its booth, NVIDIA will have on display the new NVIDIA nForce Professional 3600 MCP providing up to 28 lanes of PCI Express and the new NVIDIA nForce Professional 3050 companion chip, providing system integrators the ability to easily scale performance and features from single to multi-processor environments.

For the NVIDIA nForce Professional 3000 family, NVIDIA has integrated support for some of the industry’s most viable technologies aimed at providing NVIDIA enterprise customers with industry-leading levels of performance and system integration. Among the features NVIDIA has included into this next-generation product family are:

Industry-leading networking performance and support for up to four Gigabit Ethernet connections
Industry-leading storage capabilities with support for up to 12 SATA 3G/sec hard drives
Optimized manageability features, including remote management, enclosure management, and extensive error recording
Support for NVIDIA® SLI® technology—for the use of up to 4 GPUs simultaneously

Support for NVIDIA� SLI� technology�for the use of up to 4 GPUs simultaneously

Wonder if those drivers are ready LOL

I love the idea of 12 drives and 4 Gigabit controllers........(aslong as active armor is disabled or just works)
nVidia are instrumental to AMD for getting into the low'ish end server market! I do hope the 3000-SERIES will be as sucesfull as the 2* series........AMD can do with all the help they can get :)

4 * GB lan is great - if combined together with Nvidia thechnology the you will have 4GB\S boadband :)
