ECS PN2 SLI2+ (680i SLI) Motherboard Review

ECS continues their trek of producing an enthusiast line of motherboards. Can they continue on that path with an Nvidia 680i based board? Legit Reviews founds out by taking a look at the ECS PN2 SLI2+ motherboard. Determined to push the PN2 SLI2+ to the limits we loaded it with the latest BIOS (P25) and ran it against other leading chipsets like the 975X and 650i!

"ECS did a good thing with the release of the PN2 SLI2+ motherboard. It is a solid board that performs very well, and overclocks well when leaving the multiplier alone. If you are in the market for a new motherboard, and are looking for a 680i board, you will want to take a look at this one for sure..."

My last ECS board was a P4S5A which now resides in my sister's PC. It looks like they've improved things since then.

Nice looking board, great review. I just can't bring myself to buy another ECS board. I've owned 3. First one just died on me one day while checking my email. Flat-out dead. Second one just stopped booting one day. I swapped out every single component on the board (memory, processor, even the power supply). Gak. The third board (and ECS KN1 Lite) was great for a while. It, too, just stopped working. Tested everything I could, but to no avail. Took it back to Fry's Electronics and got a replacement. Same thing within a week.

Maybe it's just my blond-headed luck with computer components :)

Nice review, and to Bio-Hazard I would suggest buying the board, or putting it on his wishlist. The thing I love about my older ECS board is the ability to do a BIOS update from within windows, which I bet that this mobo will be able to do as well
