Core 2 Duo E6550 temperatures?

I have this processor clocked from 2,33 to 2,8Ghz, without change of the voltage(auto). In idle the temps are 38-45c, in Prime95 torture test max 72c. Is this very bad or normal?

Seems a little on the high side. What type of cpu cooler are you using?

I would recommend better cooling if your overclocking. I have had some good temps with this one on my q6600.

Is there a problem for my system with this temperature? (i am not going to overclock more)

That cooler is just as good as the stock cooler so I suggest that you get a better CPU cooler or back off on your overclock as 72°C is quite hot.

72C thats hot. Whats your voltage sitting at? Even if you don't adjust the voltage some motherboards will increase it if you increase the FSB. I would check what your voltage is sitting at and go one lower. I'd re-apply the thermal paste too. Check out the Arctic Freezer Pro 7, cheap and cool.

When I overclocked my E6600 it never got that hot. I think the most I saw was 52C at load with a good cooler..

My voltage is on auto( something like 1,344 - 1,360V) , i don't know how can i change it from bios (MSI P35 Neo)

I would have to agree with werty and pwcmed. 72c is a bit to hot. If you are going to keep your cpu oc'd I would definitely get a better cooler.

ok, now i know how to change voltage, but i do not know in what value, some ideas?

You should be able to find a overclocking guide on this fourms. I would set everything back to auto and start their. Get a baseline on your temeratures when put everything back to auto.
