I'm not much of a beer guy, but I do love Crown Royal and Jamesons. Recently, I've come to appreciate a good brandy too.

Just to defend myself. Quote from an American friend of mine "US beer is draft...Candian beer is beer" I guess it is stronger tasting, or however you would describe it. Again I'm not a beer fan and it does boil down to what you are used to. I do know for example the American Bud tastes different than Canadian Bud...ours is stronger, again for the lack of a better word. Anyway, it is your dime and we all have different tastes in things.

I'm a shot and a beer guy so its either Jamesons or Jim Beam and a decent beer like Flying Dog or my favorite beer: Fat Tire!
And as for every beer tasting the same after 8-10, you sir have never had natty ice or something worse jk though I personally don't care what anyone but me drinks!

Stronger beer might apply to the lager vs lager comparison, but San Diego is home of the Double IPA, and you havent had strong beer till you have had one of those. http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/ballast-po ... ipa/27722/

Actually back when i first started drinking beer (lagers and pilsners) i preferred Canadian and german Beers over American. The Craft brewing in the US has taken off in a huge way in the last 10 years though.
