Help With Case Selection!

Postby DJ Tucker » Tue Dec 29, 2009 7:39 pm

I know a lil while back i made a post same as this but the price of what i'm looking at has gone up again and i cant afford it :( what i am really looking for is a case that has rear, front and most of all side fans  i have £60 to spend on one and would like a case that has the side fans in line with the graphics cards to help cool them. most i find have side fan in middle of the case or no fan at all

so any case that has a side fan not in the middle of the case but at bottom right in line with graphics card.
any case make is fine not just well known ones as unknown ones can be just as good but cheap due to not being so well known, like a pair a trainers, cheap is good just not well known [-o<

If you have need for a budget case that performs on par with an Antec 300 then I'd recommend hec/CompuCase's 6X gaming cases. They're well-built and have different configurations with different amounts of 120mm fans to keep your rig cool. We use them at the shop where I work and they're a solid choice. Not flashy but definitely decent looking. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-Product

Not sure if you have them where you are, but if you need a base point to start from, I'd say this would be it!

I think the coolermaster scout fits your needs. Its a decent case and the price is right.

From the looks of it you can put two fans on the door. Notice the pre-drilled holes?

Yep, if you look at the 5 pic (or 2nd row down middle) you can see holes for 2 fans. I'm assuming 120mm, but could be a bit smaller. Even if there weren't holes I'd think that would be a super easy mod, especially with vents there already. I just ordered a case for a custom build and actually almost picked out this one. It appears to be pretty solid.
