I just got a tip from a reader that you can pre-order the AMD Phenom II X6 1090t Black Edition processor if you call Frys! I called and confirmed this news. It appears that they are coming in tomorrow and the pre-orders will ship then according to the sales agent that I spoke with. They do not have listed on the frys.com website but if you call and ask for product #6219140 you can order it for $299.99 plus shipping. The phone number for Frys is (877)-688-7678. They also have the AMD Phenom II X6 1055t processor for sale at $204 plus shipping, but they don't have an availability date on it yet. Neither processor has been officially announced by AMD, so this is interesting. Could AMD be doing a silent launch with their Phenom II X6 series of processors?
Yes, I ordered one... It was $299.99 plus shipping, so $305.98 total.
The processor features a Turbo Core boost of 400MHz, up from the base clock of 3.2GHz to 3.6GHz when only one core is running at full load.
