Corsair H50 worth it?

Postby Kaos Kid » Thu Oct 27, 2011 4:31 pm

I saw on my local craigslist that someone has a corsair H50 asking $35. D'ya think its worth buying this used (supposedly about a year old) for my AMD 555BE unlocked to 4 cores, or perhaps my 1100T? Or should I hold off (currently saving up for an H100)?

Another question: Since these are closed loop, would I be degrading the cooling performance if I had to disconnect hoses to pass them through the grommets in my case, or is it advised to just keep the unit inside the case? I'm afraid if I open the system I could introduce air into the lines and so hamper the pump efficiency.

Thoughts?

I'd save up for the H100.

As for the disconnecting hoses. You can't. The systems are sealed, crack it open there is no sealing it back.
