Thats the next best thing than water cooling, imo.

I would go with the XP-90C, just for its pure copper heatsink, thus better heat conductance and dissipation; I know I plan on using that when I get ahold of my X2 3800+, because it's getting "the treatment", lol.

there is only a 1-2c temp difference between the copper and aluminium version when the fan in running @ a lower speed!

The aluminium version is also lighter!

Unless you are prepared to run a high'ish speed fan then I would go with the aluminium version!

Of course the copper version gives you the option to do either! but cost more

that is true, I guess I just like that fact that the copper heatsink can pull more heat from the processor, and coupled with AS5 and a high-speed fan, can be an excellent contender against many of the others. Personally, I'm still weighing my options as well, I would like the XP-90C, but I also have been looking at the XP-120, bigger fan, less noise, and I think it's cheaper too, but not sure. Guess we'll have to see if I win that Typhoon or not, heheh :)

any change in temp with the bump? that seems pretty good that you're still on stock cooling too :)

holy crap, lol, now that's good on stock cooling. used AS 5 I assume? It's some good s***, lol. F@H will be the real test, as you set the percentage of load over a long period of time...I would get some full load temps and stability status from that as well, just consider it a burn-in. I know when I get the X2 rig up and going, I will end up doing that first more than likely, besides the standard "synthetic" benchmarks. Plus, it helps people who are in need of vital protein folding research....everyone wins the world around :)

you see, you gotta Prime it or F@H it before you can call it rock-solid, lol

it's ok, it happens to the best of us, and it'll probably happen to me in my quest to get a X2 3800+ to 2.8 on Exos2 water. it's all in fun and electricity :)

Maybe you should higher the voltage a little more. Is the multiplier unlocked?
