Bogus OCZ DDR2 Scores??

Postby Sublime » Fri Jun 25, 2004 10:04 am

After looking at your DDR722 thread and then looking at this article at the inq. the numbers far from match up.

You get 6,600MB/Sec they got 9,900MB/Sec.

So who is in the right and who is off the wall here?

I'm in the right of course! Kingston and Corsair both get around the same score I get for their internal testing.

I called up OCZ and they said that they were playing around with the settings and all when the Inq. was there & can't reproduce the results.

So all in all what do you expect from The Inq? The screenshot may be real, but it's NOT true buffered scores at DDR2 720MHz

I like the INQ but i have to admint i have always been a little distrusting of the information the post. Some times it just seems wrong or overly speculitive. It will be interesting to see if any one can duplicate there scores.

let me make this more clear... the owner of OCZ (Ryan) said to me that even he can't re-create the scores shown. He gets around 6600 also now.

It's just an anomoly. Still, it shouldn't have been posted without verification.
