June 2006 Forum Contest: Kingston HyperX PC2-6400 C4 Memory

Postby Apoptosis » Mon Jun 05, 2006 8:48 am

How does a low latency PC2-6400 DDR2 memory kit from Kingston sound??

Pretty damn good for being FREE right?

With AMD's recent move to DDR2 memory Kingston knows that many of our forum members will soon be upgrading to DDR2 be it to AM2 or from AMD to Intel's Conroe in the upcoming months!

For this month we have their PC2-6400 CL4 low latency memory kit up for a lucky member. Monarch sells the same kit for $175 so be sure to enter for a chance to win a kit!

Image
PART NUMBER: KHX6400D2LLK2/1G
LATENCIES: 4-4-4-12

Please note that SPD timings are 5-5-5-15 on bootup, and need to be manually set to 4-4-4-12 to get CL4 timings. Kingston did this to make sure that the memory posts on all platforms! To read more about this memory kit visit Kingston's site here.

To enter for a chance to win the contest please be sure to have 10 forum posts this month and be sure to post up what platform you look forward to using this in... AMD or Intel

The winner will be drawn on July 1st after all those with fewer than 10 posts are removed from the hat.

Im guessing these can be shipped over the pond?

I'd like a shot at owning them please.

They'd be going in an intel rig that I'll be building for Uni. :)

Yessir fantastic giveaway. I think that I would most likely be using this for my current Intel system, as I do no plan on upgrading toward the AM2 platform.

Hmm, I'd better start posting to reach that quota!
Thanks for the giveaway Apoptosis & Legit Reviews

It's DDR2 RAM don't forget, not DDR. I would double check what core you have...

Anyway, toss my name in the hat. Sucks it's only 2x 512MB sticks, but it's still freakin' sweet memory! :) I'd end up tossing an AM2 rig together as I hear lots of good things about it! My desktop needs some lovin' since she's over 3 years old!

What the heck - throw my name in ther too ;)

AMD all the way! Curious about Conroe though :( damn Intel lol

Now it might take a couple months for me to be able to get a setup to put this in, so if that would be a problem, just please omit me from this contest and I will try again next month :)
