Wewt I made it! But.. I doubt I will buy it with this system. I will wait until my next full computer upgrade. I tried the newest vista beta.. and it mem- dumped on me 4x in an hour. It was extremely buggy, and made me think it will delay again missing Q1 altogether.

PS: There's a game on there where you make cake!

Someone hasn't been watching the vista features...

Vista will stop all unnecessary processes before launching a game, i.e. less bloat :P

Why can't we make Vista stop all unnecessary processes all the time?

;p

The Beta currently doesnt support my motherboard well...According to DFI it doesnt support x64 (NF4 Ultra-D). So I tried installing Vista x64 and nothing works because my mobo wont support it. (GAY!)

Dad works for microsoft and I can get assistance for my problems 24/7 but still not worth it.

I am ready to roll although I won't be jumping on and using it as soon as it is out.

after 14 or 15 days unless you activate it, I think it will lock you out. But believe me, you won't spend an hour on it before you can't stand it.

Like rofl-mic-lofl, mine memory dumped on me 3 or 4 times in an hour of using it. In my opinion, Vista is quite resource heavy. I have an AMD Athlon 64 3500+, 1 GB ram, DFI Lan Party board, 6600GT, and Vista was sluggish on my computer. I wouldn't believe MS when they say these specs are what you'll need to run Vista. It looks sexy but at a price. I would wait to get Vista until it's been released and see what problems people have, and see what a good rig to run it really is.

Way to get a key:

* Basically go to Microsoft Office 2007 Get the Beta Site
* Make sure you are logged in
* Select your Country
* In the gap betwen pressing go and the next page coming up a url will be in the address bar for a second.
* It will look similar to the https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperienc ... cid=2075&A etc.
* You might need to take a screenshot to capture the image
* Simily enter that url into the address bar and change office.aspx to vista.aspx
* Then it should forward you to the Vista Site
* Finally you will get an email with links to the Beta 2 Downloads(dont currently work)

what they fail to mention is that youll need a new video card with HDMI and HDCP support :-( oh well I want a G80 anyway! but with the rumors that the next gen vid cards will require a seperate power supply that adds ANOTHER 100 buck so in order to watch hi-def anything on Vista expect to drop atleast 300 bucks on a new vid card and vid PSU. Fun.

Forgot to mention my 850w PSU....if that's not enough I'll just go cry in a corner. And if the OS itself requires HDMI and HDCP....then M$ needs to DIE.
