7900GT.........yeppers, don't really know the real differance in max OC, the only thing I've tried so far is coolbits and seeing all the problems folks are having with different versions of the 7900GT, I think I'm going to let it at 550/1600 for now. Besides, I was really after lowering the temps on the card (it's fast enough stock for the games I play) it used to idle at 40c with a load of 65 at that OC. Now it idles at 28c with a max load of 32c.............. :mrgreen:

And now I don't have to listen to that hella loud stock GT cooling fan, I like my quiet these days.

Added a few additional heatsinks to some of the extremely hot running IC's in the fron and back of the card just to be on the safe side............. :shock:

I reconfigured my water cooling again just for S&G's............. I pulled the second radiator (MCR220) out along with the rez to get rid of some of the clutter. I then installed a "T" line in place of the rez and made some shrouds for the tripple radiator (MCR320) out of some old aluminum Evercool fans to improve the airflow. All this together reduced the overall tubing length and system flow restriction and along with the shrouds netted me an 1-2C improvment in overall temps even with the second radiator removed. I think the shrouds made for the biggest improvement as the fans where only about a 1/4 inch away from the radiator core without the shrouds resulting in large dead areas on the radiator.

Putting the PSU on the other side on the bottom makes the MoBo side sort of empty. I also put the HD rack back in the case and mounted my 2 HD's in there with 2 120 fans colling them, they run a whole lot cooler now than when they were in the 5.25 bays with no air flow. Now all I need to do is get somemore HD's to fill up the HD rack.
I had the Evercool fans for a long time and most had a few LED's burnt out, so taking them apart wasn't a big deal........ They were also from a sponsor for a water cooling project, so it didn't really cost me anything..........

How hard was is to bleed the loop of air, using a T-Line???

I need to get a Res (+ a mobo or two...sigh) but I'm now considering using a T instead.......

"T" lines are a bit of a pain in the butt to bleed.............. :shock:

Mainly it's the time that it takes plus you need to be right there to constantly fill the system untill the systems full, then just wait for the air to get worked out. This is the first time I used a "T" line and I must say I like the space savings after the work is done..........

I got bored with my water cooling again and decided to switch things up a bit. Here's what I came up with.

I pulled my HD rack out again and relocated my HD into the 5.25 bays again and reinstalled a second radiator (Swiftech MCR220), but this time I'm going with a dual loop. The first loop is going to be all Swiftech (as always) and will include the following for the CPU only; APOGEE CPU block, MCR320 triple radiator with 3 TT 80 CFM 120mm fans, "T" line and a MCP655 pump. The second loop will also be all Swiftech including; MCW60 GPU block, MCR220 dual radiator with 2 TT 80 CFM 120mm fans, "T" line and a Laing D4 pump.

Dual loop adds more lines, but you're case is still very clean. I like it. What did it do for performance?

Load temps on my X2 are down an average of 3c, the load temps on the video card are now what the idle temps used to be.............. :mrgreen:

I wouldn't realy say that all the extra cooling performance is worth all the extra effort, but I had the parts sitting around from old reviews and such and I was bored, so what the heck............ :rolleyes:

I got somemore water cooling gear on Friday to install............ :shock:

A Swiftech MCW-RamCool came in, I really don't expect a lot of increase in my OC on the ram as it's already at 1600MHz, but it should help things run a little cooler.

I also hope to replace my pumps soon with a set of the new DDC-2 with modded tops to fit the 1/2" tubing. That should make for a almost silent running system.

Have you installed the Ram Cooler yet?
My res died on me, the top seal is broken and I get leaks......the pressure from the DCC-2 causes coolant to "squirt" out of it when I power on or off :shock:

I want to get a Swiftech 3 1/2 bay res, which is not available here with 3/8 fittings. Even the micro res only comes with 1/2 fittings

When anyone asks me "how does watercooling work?" I send them a link to this thread!!! Great work Bio!!!

Haven't got it installed yet, hope to have time today, I've been having time issues lately because I'm down to just this, my main rig, and installing a new water block takes a full day with leak testing as you know. I suppose I could cheat on the leak testing, but if something were to go wrong, I'd be totally without a computer............ :cry:

And we can't have that can we.

Thats a nice looking rig you got there, I think I've seen this thread on another forum you post in :roll:

How have you set up the smaller RAM block into your loop because its smaller than your current piping.

The best way for me to explain how the loop is set up is to link you to Swiftechs page on the block, I have mine set up as per their instructions, except that I'm running dual loops.

Interesting solution, looks a bit comlicated trying to wire a SLI cooling with two of those though!

lotta splice connections for SLI :shock:

wonder if a manifold block would work to elminate the splices.

Run your main line to the block, let it feed the branch lines, I'm not sure if it would cause the 1/2 inch lines to starve the 1/4 lines. the water would fallow path of least resistance.
