Just wanted to point out that the rules state that the winner has to give a US shipping address if they win. So I would think that if you have a friend in the states that is willing to forward the package on, then you could still enter to win.... that's just what I read into it, official corrections may speak otherwise.

Not every contest has been international and recently we've had legal threats over various issues from people over these contests. To be honest it doesn't make sense to run them if legal issues keep coming up every time. Remember that a legal team costs money and the forum is free for our readers! The forum contests are here to give back to the community and while the web is worldwide LR just happens to be based in the US.

If an international forum member wants to provide a shipping number (UPS, FedEX), a customs form that has been filled out, and a waiver for liability (meaning if the package doesn't get there it's not my fault) I will be more than happy to include those entries. We will have upcoming contests that are open to international visitors at a future date for those that don't want to do all that.
