i am looking to buy a new mobo and processor this summer. i was wondering if anyone would know what would be a nice upgrade from an AMD 4000+ socket 939. i was thinking about going with an AM2 processor

I was thinking something that i could go crossfire with later down the road got a x1900gt right now. Might go with that processpr though so i could buy another gig of ram.

I think the crosshair is DDR2 so you cannot use the DDR400 you have

Most if not all AM2 Mobo's are DDR2(240 pin) so your Kingston DDR (184 pin)memory will not work.

At $600 your options for a Mobo, CPU and Memory are wide open!

I think I might go with what camaroguy1998 gave me. even though it is sli i havent found any ati mobo that are as good, might have to go nvida sometime this year

That's an option... but wait until the new 8600 nv cards are out and tested... 8800 are very $$$$, M2N32-SLI is no dought a very NICE MB... here is the conclusion of a review made (overall rating 92%)...
What's hot?
The M2N32-SLI Deluxe has excellent features and solid performance, including a Wi-Fi connection.
What's Not?
There is currently No EPP support in the BIOS and the BIOS is not functional with NVIDIA's nTune 5.0.

So keep your options open (personally I prefer CrossFire)... I'm also in a waiting process...

Most if not all AM2 Mobo's are DDR2(240 pin) so your Kingston DDR (184 pin)memory will not work.

AM2 introduced DDR2, which is the main difference between it and 939.
