I just purchased a new laptop and it has 2gb of ram at PC5300 DDR2 667MHz SDRAM. Toshiba said it would handle 2 Gb of DDR2 800 (PC2 6400). I was wondering if I would notice a difference between the two. The notebook is upgradeable to 4 Gb of ram so juust wondering whether to add more at 667MHz or splurge on the 800MHz. The entire specs of the laptop are as follows if that will help:
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T7700 (2.4GHz, 4MB L2 cache, 800MHz FSB), Genuine Windows Vista® Ultimate 32-Bit, Microsoft® Office® 2007 Basic Edition, 2048MB PC5300 DDR2 667MHz SDRAM (1024MBx2), 17.0" Diagonal Widescreen WSXGA+ TruBrite® display (1680x1050), ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 2600 with 256MB GDDR2 discrete memory + up to 255MB allocated shared graphics memory using ATI HyperMemory™ technology, 160GB HDD (5400rpm, Serial-ATA), 160GB 2nd HDD (5400rpm, Serial-ATA), DVD SuperMulti (+/-R double layer) drive, Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965 AGN (802.11a/g/n), Bluetooth® Version 2.0 +EDR, harman/kardon® stereo speakers,.
Thanks for help in advance.
Jimmy
