DX975XBX2 and Jumbo Frames

Postby interpol » Tue Nov 27, 2007 8:33 pm

Anyone know how to enable jumbo frames for the onboard gigE? I've installed the latest Intel PROSet (v12.1 April 2007)... full install, not just the driver. But there is no option to enable/disable jumbo frames or set the frame size. The PROset readme claims that jumbo frames are supported... so how do you enable? I'm running Vista x32. TIA.

I'll answer my own question  No, it doesn't support jumbo frames... which sucks. See this forum post.

I've been running 4k Jumbo frames on my XBX2 since I got it.
My switch (SMC8508T) is supposed to support 9K jumbo frames, but it doesn't work with Intel 9k frames.

At 4k everything works well. There is a huge speed improvement going from 1.5k to 4k.

I'm running XP though.
