Battlefield 2

Battlefield 2 has been anounced from the Battlefield 1942 series. I bought the 1942 pack about a week ago and it is a great game, worth the money.

In the new game you will be able to blow up buildings and blow holes in the ground :D

The combatants include the U.S. Marines, the Chinese, and a fictional Middle East Coalition army. Regions of conflict span areas of China and the Middle East.

Not quite the gulf war, but it will include the middle east in general! ;)

funny how this game shows a fictional Middle East Coalition army. I bet in reality a real Middle East Coalition army could become a reality. Kinda weird how video games follow current events very well. Remember that one game that had a plane crashing into the twin towers before 9/11? The cover art was done months before the attack and they had to redo it to launch it.

was it FlightSim 2002?

And I don't think the game really predicted it... it just happened to have the twin towers in the background of the cover... not 100% on this though.
