Re: Battlefield V Ray Tracing Performance on GeForce RTX 2080 Ti

Have you tried it on anything higher than LOW just to see what happens? Maybe more if the tree tearing?

I remember doing ray tracing on a 486DX50 and taking days for 1 picture, now it is real time.....wow

No, its a scam. Everyone who finds this because the name is in the title can see - it is a scam. All the spammers posting about it are paid assholes

Actually I have no clue but tired of seeing spam posts.

Re: Intel Core i9-9980XE Extreme Edition Processor Review

geekgasm 650+ watts - holy crap! RTX2080 uses what, around 250...so 900w right there without anything else. IF you OC the CPU. I would honestly recommend a 1000w+ PSU just because you don't get 100% of the power from the supply, more like 80-90 max on a great PSU. WOW. I figure if you can afford thi...

Re: New system

As for the mobo or power supply (psu most likely by the sound of it) dying on you after all the issues, I would have almost given up by now. I'll give you credit where credit is due for your fighting spirit 8) Tried 2 different PSU's and both do the same thing. Oh I checked and rechecked everything...

Re: APC Back-UPS 550 Finally Giving Scream of Death After 7 Years

Had to get direct injection in my neck yesterday so missed this. Just make sure they have enough battery supplied outlets for the devices you want to put on them. This is the main problem I have found with cell phones, tablets, etc becoming so popular and even though they are low draw on battery bac...

Re: APC Back-UPS 550 Finally Giving Scream of Death After 7 Years

Pure sinewave would be nice and might help out in certain situations but I think I would at least replace the batteries once before chucking it and getting a new one....but thats just my cheap ass self lol

Weird typing on my laptop.

Re: New system

So it died. Kinda lol might be the main power connector as it would not turn on and when I went to remove the power cable the lights flickered. I give up as I dont think I can replace that with my non existant soldering skills :)

Re: New system

Put a piece of electrical tape over each standoff. Then install board. I put the paper/cardboard washers on each of them last time I pulled it apart just to make sure they were not touching :) I am still getting the odd temp readings also From previous post CPUIDHWTemps.JPG Just took this reading n...

Re: New system

Not trying to be a dick... Have you counted standoffs and made sure there is a screw used for each? Some cases have standoffs in locations not drilled out on the board. Also, I'm offering again to send you out a brand new board in the box if you'd like to try a second board. LOL - yea, I thought of...

Re: APC Back-UPS 550 Finally Giving Scream of Death After 7 Years

Yea I would recommend APC also as the others I have used all failed soon after warranty. My APC's have been so good taht this is my 3rd battery replacement for them and they are still chugging along! Mine are 1500va units though so replacing batteries is normally a lot cheaper than buying a new unit...

Re: New system

Update - seems to be running very stable now. I switched to MX-4 paste and I took and added a tiny rubber strip (about the thickness of 2 sheets of paper) from another water cooler I had to try and get it to tighten up a little more. I have not tried overclocking again nor have I messed with the gig...

Re: Corsair Hydro H100i RGB Platinum CPU Cooler Review

nice! I wish they would start to include the ability to add a gpu line on. I never understood why they dont sell them with a splitter or even dual pumps and have a code inside that you can order the gpu block you need. Seems like a win win for everyone involved as I imagine most people that would be...

Damn you Intel, you whooped AMD again! Come on AMD, I am voting so hard for you guys/gals to get something that will decimate Intel's offering in price and performance but you have been letting me down. I am running a Ryzen CPU now too but when a 16 thread processor can beat a 32 thread processor, s...

Re: Replacing wireless card in C700 laptop

I've finally figured out that C700 is locked to Compaq wireless cards after buying 2 Dell wifi cards from eBay

from http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads ... 042/page-5

I would go with an external/usb wifi card to upgrade.
