Re: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 2080 Benchmark Review

INSANE speeds but also INSANE prices lol I like that they are not good mining cards but with the pricing starting way up there, I doubt they would have been raised a whole lot anyway unless they could make their money back in a few months. I laugh whenever I see the power usage charts cause AMD has ...

Re: New system

Want me to send you one and then get you to send that back? that way you have no down time? As for thermal paste... I've pulled them out of the socket before, but it's been a long time. I've used 'lighter' thermal paste lately and put on a very thin amount. No pulling at all since i've done that. Y...

Re: New system

In fact the cpu pulling out of the socket may well be the issue. A friend of mine had an issue where he would change the paste fort better temps constantly and pull the cpu from the socket. Even though he did that and reseated it, it failed to boot and setting went all over the place. I fixed it by...

Re: New system

So it happened again with the windows update that came through. Computer locked up, power button would not shut it off and then it would not restart. I moved the cooler block around a bit (pushed in on it really) and then it booted up but the led is back to just red. I want to pull the water block o...

Re: Conversion bracket

That looks almost exactly like one that came with one of my water coolers. If it is the same it twists on and holds very tight.

There should be a working link if anyone has better knowledge than I.

Re: New system

Odd, send the board over to me and I'll take a look. I got a couple of those boards in the closet that are brand new, so I got you covered. (unless it's a bad CPU) It's been working now. I haven't played with oc or lighting since it started to act good though. I will keep testing it out and see how...

Well had to lower to 3.50 in order to get cpuz benchmark to complete but it beat the threadripper 1900x and was a few points shy of the 2700x!

Re: New RTX cards - INSANE pricing!

nothing here in the uk to state pricing fix. So far they have been released at £1100  And people wonder why computer gaming has been on a decline....game console for cheaper than 1 video card......i wonder. I know the computer would have better graphics but damn I can't afford to buy a high ...

Re: New system

Looking good and can't wait to see some benchmarks at 4Ghz or whatever you get it up to. Do you still suggest doing the OC through BIOS or is it as good now a days to use a windows program to do it? Been a while since I oc'd as I did for a while on the 3770k but then just left it stock for everyday...

New RTX cards - INSANE pricing!

2080ti - $1199 2080 $799 2070 $599 OUCH. I was hoping the new gen would come out and be lower cost to drive the current 10 cards down to reasonable levels. I was wrong. Do you guys/gals at LR have any definite specs/prices for the cards? Seems like the new cards are a good bit faster than this gener...

Redoing the entire thing right now. Took everything out and rebuilding after clearing cmos. Putting the modular psu in also.

You would love the 5 8tb I have in the nas :)

Re: New system

Couple pics while the led is glowing Nice rats nest of cables. Will swap the psu tomorrow. I think of the problem may be a dead cmos battery so the wife is bringing me one home when she gets off work. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180817/99c6fc409cdbd15230130aefe72a8a49.jpg https://uploads.tapa...

Re: New system

Have you tried removing your storage drives/optical drives and clearing the CMOS? Funny story...lol...I am looking through all my stuff for a clear cmos jumper as it didnt come with one. I hate to just use a screwdriver or something to short the connection! I probably looked so stupid with a quizzi...
