Re: Corsair Neutron GTX 240GB SSD RAID 0 Performance
Hey I am a BIG fan of overkill as long as it produces some results. Like I laugh when I see water coolers put eight 480 mm rads to cool a single CPU. But raid 0 SSD for boot drive could actually improve boot / load / run performance assuming the 500 mb transfer speed IS a bottle neck. Basically is i...

Re: Corsair Neutron GTX 240GB SSD RAID 0 Performance
Joe,
That performance is amazing for the benchmarks. Wondering if you noticed a big improvement in Win 8 running on this RAID or if it is total overkill for boot drive?

Re: Corsair Obsidian 900D 'Godzilla' Full Tower PC Case Revi
Nice review Dan! On that bottom panel it looks like there is a plate or something covering over the air holes and filter. If you drop a rad down there, do you think that restricted airflow ? I looks like it is removable but does it look silly without that solid plate? http://www.legitreviews.com/ima...

Re: NVIDIA Kepler versus Fermi in Adobe After Effects CS6
The latest update allows AE CS6 to use SLI and recognizes the GTX 690. That was why we thought we would see what they did.

Re: NVIDIA Kepler versus Fermi in Adobe After Effects CS6
Can you do the full 3d ray trace render using only the cpu rather than the gpu? Just curious what times would be. I also was reading up on video conversions and editing while I was transferring some of my father in laws vcr tapes to dvd and editing them to try and improve the picture the best you c...

No Problem! The software is free from Aqua Computers but you need an Aquaero 5 system to run it such as the PRO. We reviewed the top of the line XT model here http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/images/aquacomputer/70174_01.jpg You can find it here: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.ph...

Re: WD Red 3TB NAS Hard Drive Review
Can the Red Editions be used singly or just in RAID? While you CAN use them as single drives, the features they implement to accelerate error recovery make them a bad choice over a Green or Black WD drive (or any other manufactures standard drive). With a stand alone drive it is set up to handle er...

Re: NZXT Phantom 820 Full Tower Case Review
I just so happens I had a Scythe six channel fan controller laying around and stuck it in the top slot. Same issue, the knobs on the right hit the hinge so the door doesn't close. IMG_1962.JPG I think you could get around this issue by simply sliding the controller back into the case the distance of...

Re: WD Red 3TB NAS Hard Drive Review
Two things: 1) Nate, the item on the left of the menu that says "Link aggregation" is your port bonding to get a dual GIG connection and no, I do not believe the netgear support it. 2) TLER has to be supported by the raid controller and I am pretty sure the Thecus does not support it. Most...

Thanks, glad you liked it. The price point is a bit high but seeing how it has the fan controller and all the LED bling included, I felt it justified.

yeah, i can honestly say I never use them either. Bill, did you ever use Magnetic core memory? I am not quite that old :). I was class of '87. Joe,
You said if you remember 5.25" floppies you are old... I remember 8" floppies and punch cards so what does that make me?

Thank you for your comments and I understand. Those filters can be added to any case, I have a few myself on my M8, they are awesome so I know wh...

Re: Rosewill Blackhawk-Ultra Super Tower Computer Case Revie
Thank you for the compliment. Have you considered looking at Case Labs products? They are arguably one of the best for water cooling and have models as big as a car to handle 4 or more PSU's with tons of radiators and anything else you want. You can check our our review of their "small" ve...

Re: Corsair Vengeance K90 & M90 MMO/RTS Keyboard & Mouse Rev
I have not use the Deathadder but I think the M90 is similar in size. It was really the way the right side indent hit my hand that made me say stop. Very subjective I know. I love my Sidewinder X8 because it has a wide body and fits my big hands better than the standard mouse. I looked at an old Mic...

Re: Rosewill Blackhawk-Ultra Super Tower Computer Case Revie
Look at the Cosmos II, that case has all the goods. You can also check out the NZXT Switch 810 that has all very easy to access filters that just click pop out. I think part of the problem you are running in to is that ~$200.00 is not a premium price for a full tower case. The premium full towers ar...

Re: Rosewill Blackhawk-Ultra Super Tower Computer Case Revie
Here are your images IMG_5141.jpg The screen behind the 5.25" is just held in with tabs. The screen below this area is not as easy to remove as I thought when I looked at it the first time, you have to bend all the tabs back so I would just use an air can on it if I had this case. However the f...
