Re: Intel DP67BG Extreme

Thanks for the responses. Well, I found the problem with my front USB 3.0 ports. When I got the adapter cable I didn't have my glasses with me so my 20 year old grandson plugged the cable in for me after looking at the picture in the manual. When I got back in the room the case was closed up, so I t...

Intel DP67BG Extreme

I've had this mobo for 2/3 years and I've kept it through several compuiter upgrades. In my latest upgrade I got a new case which has USB 3.0 front panel ports which I've connected to the USB 2.0 header on the mobo using an adapter cable. Neither port works. I started using my USB 3.0 ports for the ...

Re: Boot Issues with Intel DP67BG Mobo

You didn't mention the brand and wattage of your power supply. Also what video card are you using?

Intel DP67BG MOBO stops during post

During boot the post stops and shows error code E7 (waiting for user input). I hit the "enter" key and the post continues successfully. I am sure the problem is with an erroneous reading of the processor fan speed, but don't know how to correct it. Once the computer finishes booting there ...

Re: Disable Fan Control on DP67GB MOBO

Since my last post, I no longer get the warning message, it boots right into windows. It seems as though the BIOS has a mind of its own, so I'll see if the warning comes back. If it does, I will post back and update the thread. I just hope this BIOS doesn't have any more tricks it may decide to play...

Re: Disable Fan Control on DP67GB MOBO

This is the most stable of all the BIOS versions for this board. Intel seems to have serious BIOS problems with a lot of their boards. This board itself has problems: Many sound cards won't work; PCI slots aren't true PCI- they run through the PCIe; many people reporting that USB 3.0 doesn't work. F...

Re: Disable Fan Control on DP67GB MOBO

Yeah, it's an Intel Sandy Bridge board (socket 1155). The manual really says nothing, and I can't find any way in the BIOS to disable it, only settings. This board does OK with the CPU fan but lets the case fans just idle along, which is why I'm using the controller. I have the notification turned o...

Disable Fan Control on DP67GB MOBO

I want to use a fan controller for my inlet/output fans, but get the notification that the fans aren't running during boot. Just a minor inconvenience really, but I'd like to get rid of it. If anyone knows how to disable BIOS (v2040) monitoring of these fans I'd appreciate a "How To". Than...

Re: Need help with memory and fan speed

Thanks for the info, Major. I did some more research-- found the voltages for the RAM, checked Corsair"s site and found out the mobo is compatible, etc I set it in XMP and it's running at 1600; I turned off the "over voltage" warning from Intel Desktop Utilities-- I guess Intel never ...

Re: Need help with memory and fan speed

OK, I found XMP in my Bios and set the BIOS to that (1600). When the computer finished booting, I was getting "over voltage" warnings from Intel's Desktop Utility. At 1333 the Voltage is 1.50, at 1600 the voltage is 1.65. I know my RAM timings, but not the voltage. Busy now, but I'll try s...

Re: Need help with memory and fan speed

Thanks for the responses. sbohdan-- Sorry about the RAM, it's CMX4GX3M2A1600C8. I tried earlier to find the settings for changing the speed in the BIOS and couldn't figure it out. I'll go back into the BIOS tomorrow and give it another try. vbironchef-- The MOBO number is DP67BG Extreme (this is off...

Need help with memory and fan speed

This is a computer I built a while back and upgraded this past Tuesday.
