Re: the swine flu is a scam!

LOL Guinea Pig here. I looked at your WHO statistics page, and while there I also read some other interesting news. "Outcomes of trials completed to date suggest that pandemic vaccines are as safe as seasonal influenza vaccines. Side effects are expected to be similar to those observed with sea...

Re: In need of a Camera

I just bought the Olympus E-450 on ebay with bing cashback. I got a kit with a camera case, 8gb CF card, spare battery, and some other stuff. It is a DSLR that uses a Micro-4/3rds sensor and it is just about the lightest DSLR available. After cashback I think it was about $350. The pictures look way...

Re: Post Your Rig!

Well I usually rebuild every year, but this beast is 3 years old except the video card which I bought last year. With medical school and a newborn, I don't have the money or time anymore to continuously build... If you look closely you can see who I bought my case from :) http://lh4.ggpht.com/_fTc2Y...

So he has an icon of texas and it's due the 28th. I vote we all storm texas for his video card and hope the volunteers from Tennessee don't show up to stop us.

Re: the swine flu is a scam!

Here's one health care provider providing motivation for getting the flu shot. I got mine Tuesday. You should expect a sore arm the day of and after the shot. You might expect feeling sick the day after and it shouldn't last much longer than that. Your body is mounting an immune response and that me...

I'm also a medical student, 3rd year, so still direct your questions at the slightly more experienced one, but I'd like to offer this up. Watch out for motorcycles certainly, but more importantly watch out for everyone. I've done a psych, neuro, and 2 medicine rotations and I have to tell you that 8...

Re: How To Install Windows 7 from a USB Flash Drive

Thanks bubba! I actually just got a version of bootsect that is x32 and spent a little time thinking about what the guide is actually doing and figured out I really just need to run the x32 version of bootsect.exe and it doesn't have to be the one from the USB drive. G:\BOOT\BOOTSECT.exe /nt60 G: ca...

Any chance ATI is going to get back on top of the Folding scene also? I remember when the x1900 series was considered cheating.

Re: How To Install Windows 7 from a USB Flash Drive

I'm trying to make the x64 version of Windows 7 bootable on USB, but the message I get says This version of G:\BOOT\BOOTSECT.exe is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. CHeck your computer's system information to see whether you need a x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of th...

Nate,

Only typo I found was on the first page. You said the 34nm drive was silver, the 50nm was black. I think those are switched.

Great Review!

Re: Double Edge Shaving

Just bought 3 more razors on ebay to try out. You can get used razors cheap and unlike the other razors, it doesn't matter how many people have used it before you because you replace the blades for CHEAP. Someone needs to read this, look on ebay for some safety razors and give it a shot.

If I'm understanding correctly, I don't actually need to preference anything right? I get whichever piece of the awesomeness is left over, and I can use any of the 4!

Re: Double Edge Shaving

http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/images/8/84/Weishi_front.JPG So this is the razor. You twist the handle and the top flips open. You put in one of the replacement razors, they're just about paper thin and bend to match the contour of the razor. The razor has 2 exposed sides of the blade, and you can ...

Re: Double Edge Shaving

They're called Double Edge Safety Razors. You buy the handle which can be expensive, but the blades are real cheap. You should look into it. It's a lot of fun.

You can search ebay for Safety Razor and it will bring up a bunch of small handles that you can use.

Double Edge Shaving

I recently converted to Double Edge shaving with a safety razor, and my first shave was blood-free and just as close as my Gillette Mach 3. It only has a single blade, but it shaves very close. I'm waiting on my badger hair brush for the full experience. The handle cost me about $20 on ebay, which i...

Re: Recommend me a mattress

My wife and I have a Queen Sized TempurPedic and we love it. Both of us preferred a firmer mattress, and if you like that, you can't go wrong with the TempurPedic. It is supposed to last for 10+ years so the price is more reasonable over the longer period of time. I know most people keep their mattr...

Re: Proud dad

I'm getting ready for my first child here in the next week or so. If we have a girl, I'll have to teach her to shoot. I figure it will improve the dating pool if she can hit a playing card at 150 yards. Fewer threats required on my part too.
