Re: ASUS Poseidon GTX 780 Video Card Review
I just bought one of these cards. It will replace a pair of EVGA GTX 660 Ti cards in SLI. I chose it because it seems to be the best value for what I want based on the following: 1. It has an integrated water-block. Which I can take full advantage of because I can rebuild my custom loop to accommoda...

Re: Genius Announces 12-button Gila Pro Gaming Mouse
First off, Gila is pronounced "He La", rather than the "Gill A" which sounds like Magilla Gorilla. There is a river that extends from the mountains in Southwestern New Mexico into Arizona named the Gila. There is a county in Arizona named Gila County. And the first Nationally ded...

Re: Cooler Master Announces QuickFire Rapid Gaming Keyboard
Since it mentions "PS/2 mode" and has replaceable keys, all for a very reasonable price. I have to admit that I'm interested.

Re: MSI Claims That Gigabyte Fakes PCIe 3.0 Gen 3?
What gets me is the need to "push" the perceived obsolescence of previous hardware specs. We all know that 99% of the software isn't going to support the latest spec, even if Intel pays some company to try. Plus I find it hard to believe that it will really make that much difference...

Re: The time for 3D is here and now
I will NOT ever use shutter glasses, either in a Theater or in my home. I have an astigmatism and those things could actually make that condition worse... But no biggie! Besides I think they will come up with something else, in a year or so, to sell their new TVs, then "3D" will become a t...

Re: EVGA Classified Super Record 2 SR-2 Motherboard Review
Well my hat's off to EVGA regarding this board. I've had one of their previous Classified boards running in a system for about 16 months now. It seems bullit-proof to me, though there are some things I don't like. What might those be? Well first off my Classified zips right past the POST screen so t...

Re: NVIDIA's Best Buy GeForce GTX 460 1GB Video Card Overvie
I just bought 2 EVGA GTX 470s. They cost $304.99 each and had a MIR of $30 each. They also come with EVGA's lifetime warranty, and for $5 I was able to get an expedite on on the rebate (it should be delivered in 5-7 days - instead of 6-8 weeks). End result is that I am unimpressed with these 460s. J...

Re: MSI Big Bang XPOWER Intel X58 Motherboard Review
Depending on how this board is priced, I might get one for my backup system. I've had a few MSI boards in the past that I liked allot. But if its too much on the far side of $300 I'll probably go with an EVGA X58 FTW3, or an Asus P6x58D Premium.

Re: Corsair Graphite 600T Case and Airflow Pro Memory Preview
The Graphite looks very nice! I especially like the way the hard drive cages can be remove, and relocated. But I have to wait and see what that one Cooler Mater case looks like before I arrive at any conclusions.

Re: Cooler Master HAF X Black Gaming Case Review
*Double Face Palm.... I'm almost finished modding my HAF 932 for use with water-cooling. And while the ducting for the video cards is a good idea, I am willing to bet that 200mm fan doesn't push nearly as much air as my 4 fan setup. See I have a bunch of CM 120mm fans which are rated for 90C...

Re: CES 2010: Antec Lanboy Air Chassis Preview
For almost a year now I've been living with a HAF 932. I almost immediately removed the large side panel fan and replaced it with 4 fairly high flow fans. I also suspended another 120mm fan in the 5.25" drive bays below my ROM drives. And this combination moves allot of air, without making allo...

Re: Using a SATAII Drive on a SATAIII Controller...?
Guys thanks for your replies! I just wanted to hear from people to know that there wasn't some SNAFU. :) As it turns out my plans for this update have been delayed. I decided that water cooling my gaming rig was more important that updating my second computer. The advantage is that after I've had a ...

Re: Need Input on GTX400 Series ... Rumor Control
Well now I hear another report of something similar: (This is from a NewEgg Reveiw) "Cons: Minor cons; it gets a little hot running dual monitors (75c) and it reduces resolution on my 1080p hdtv to 1814x1026 when I resize the screen to fit the display. So one egg off." This is for the Stan...

Re: Need Input on GTX400 Series ... Rumor Control
I haven't heard anything about this..but I wouldn't worry about it. I don't have any issues with my setup Ok, well I was a bit skeptical when I heard this... And there were two people, one with a GTX470, and another with a GTX480, who reported this problem. So I needed to hear from someone else. An...

Need Input on GTX400 Series ... Rumor Control
I have heard reports that people with Hanns-G 28" displays are having issues with the new GTX 400 Series cards. On another forum they are reporting that these cards do not produce a display image that goes all the way to the edge of their screens. This leaves a 3/4"- 1" black border a...

Re: Using a SATAII Drive on a SATAIII Controller...?
Well I was specifically interested in getting one of the new AMD 6-core CPUs with an 890FX chipset board. So 1. that won't have separate controller. And 2., unlike some Intel Chipset boards, it won't have many, if any, SATA II connectors. One other thing I should note is that I always run my HDDs in...

Using a SATAII Drive on a SATAIII Controller...?
Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone knows how well regular SATA II drives work connected to a SATA III controller. I'm interested in a progressive upgrade so I'd buy a Motherboard, CPU, and DRAM first. Then upgrade the storage solution later. I know it will "work". I'm just unsure how well it ...
